22 month old with sinusitis....remedies please!!!?

My daughter has been sick now for 2 1/2 weeks. First it was a cold that developed into a croup cough. Her doctor gave her a dose of steroids, and the croup cough seemed to ease up then turned into a very hard ''phlemy , crackle'' cough. We thought it was all clearing up then 3 days later it came back ( green ,runny nose ;hard cough; low-grade fever). Back to the doctor, diagnosed her w/ sinusitis & bronchdis. He gave her antibotic, oral steroids, & a STRONG cough syrup. Her nose seems to be trying to clear up a little, but her cough is worse. Is there any helpful advise out there to soothe her. We have tried honey with no luck. And she did alright w/ green tea. If there is anything else.....PLEASE COMMENT!
