Question about period and pregnancy symptoms (please help if you can)?

My wife and I are TTC. When my wife is approaching the end of her cycle and is about to start her period she has always said her l area gets dry and itchy. My question is do women experience the same symptoms during there period and if they are pregnant. She did have some discharge after her ovulation. Could this cause her to be itchy. Has anyone else experienced a l itch before there period was due and found out they were pregnant? She's also had other symptoms--sore , lower ab cramps, got dizzy, pressure when she urinates, and pinching on her sides. We tried a HPT the 24th of December and it was negative. Her cycle started the 29th of November and we think she ovulated the 12th or 13th of December. She's taking clomid and went in for an ultrasound December 11th and she had two 28mm follicles. My wife says her cycle is 30 days. She thinks her period is going to start, but I have heard women can think there period is comong, but they are actually pregnant. Thanks to all that respond from a Hubby who really wants to have a baby.
