Could a blown fuse affect overdrive turning on/off, or is this a bigger problem?
I spilled water on my gear shifter. I have a 2007 Hyundai Accent GS Hatchback. First, the O/D OFF light came on and would not respond to the on on the shifter. I drove maybe 5 miles, and overdrive was still off. This morning, the car turned on and the light was off, so overdrive was on. Overdrive went back off though when I was driving on the highway and made the car jerk a little. Now, the O/D OFF light is on, and won't respond to the on again. I first posted this question yesterday, but I thought it was just the light messing up because the water probably blew the fuse. But now, since overdrive is now going from on to off spontaneously, I'm having doubts that this is just a blown fuse. I need to travel about 130 miles at highway speeds tomorrow. Is it ok to drive 60 at the most for the whole way?
