Which One Is Politically Correct?

This is how I see it. If a person is an African immigrant, or their parents were African immigrants, then they are African American. I know a person who's parents emigrated from Nigeria, and he goes to visit his family often, so I call him, African-American. (Nigerian-American more specifically). If they're just American, they're American, and if you must refer to their race, they are black. This also goes with Jamacian-Americans, or Haitian-Americans.
