How can I play Counter Strike: Source without using Steam or having to be connected to the internet?

I want to be able to play offline with just me and the bots. How do I do this? Or is it not possible? And I kind of don't like that I have to go through steam to play it. I bought the CS Source disc so there shouldn't be any reason why I wouldn't be able to.
